Re: DONE: Shift+F2 to find a function or subroutine automatically

Hoping to assign shift + f2 when a function call has been highlighted, wanting it to jump straight to the function itself. I am sure this used to work as I 'feel' that I used it in test and in anger but that may be just my memory. Regardless, I cannot get it to work now. setTooltip(); //this is the ...

Re: Question: Tooltips on icons, where have they gone?

Well that's good to hear at least. The two things I have just done to RJTextEd are, as follows: a. upgraded to latest version b. not used it for a long time. No other changes since last proper use of RJTextEd for development, it isn't something I would ever turn off and like you, I have no knowledge...

Question: Tooltips on icons, where have they gone?

Is it my memory or did RJTextEd have tooltips available when hovering over icons in the various toolbars? I haven't used RJTextEd in anger for a while and I have forgotten a lot of what I previously did in order to do this or that. I hovered over a few icons in the various toolbars to get a hint or ...

Re: Happy Easter

I never quite understood the association between Rabbits and the rising of Jesus Christ from the dead but thanks anyway. Don't get me started on chocolate... :-D

Happy Easter to you too.

Re: SFTP - Refresh button

"Don't" tell me what to do. Inspector71 throws a tantrum - seen that before! :-D Inspector71, I think perhaps we are divided by a common language and you perhaps need to read the things people say but not assume they are directed personally at you or at anyone in particular. I hadn't even realised ...

Re: SFTP - Refresh button

Well, that is my point, let others do what they do best and instead of trying to replicate their knowledge and success and always trying to catch up with their already complete implementation, instead, let their success carry you along by allowing your own tool to interface through APIs perhaps... W...

Re: SFTP - Refresh button

Sorry to be a downer but I just use a good FTP tool, WinSCP when I need to FTP. I expect my editor to edit - and my FTP tool to FTP. I think RJTextEd should not try to be two tools that require differing skills to maintain. The FTP side of things must be drawing Rickard's attention away from his Mag...

Re: MPad (RJ Texted Lite)

QEdit was a shareware editor back in the 90s and had a good following. I still have a copy that I use on my DOS machine. Perhaps QEdit as a name might confuse potential and the authors of the Semware Editor might be annoyed by its re-use. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_SemWare_Editor The 32 suffi...

Re: Rickard, How's it going?

That sounds fantastic and a major improvement for RJTextEd.

Can I ask you some questions? Not on LSP but in general? Nothing too revealing I promise!

Rickard, How's it going?

Rickard, most people here just want something from you and have expectations of prompt and efficient delivery of fixes, changes &c. Very few just turn up to say 'hello' and when they do they are normally just bots in any case. So, I'm just here to say "hello" and to ask how is it going? We don't get...
