v16.38 on Win 10 - freezes when pasted 27k data

Procedure:
create new blank file with default name New1.txt set by program
paste 27,074 bytes data unformatted (it is minified css) and program after a few seconds is 'not responding'

if saved using another editor as .css file it opens in TextEd without problems

When data size was slightly smaller, there was never a problem.
