Re: .cpp keywords - color question

Mind you, I am still setting colors under "All languages", not specifically for this extension... Maybe that is what is wrong?? Yeah, I think that's it. You have "keyword1", "keyword2" for all languages, and specific keyword groups names that seem to work for specific highlighters, so my suggestion...

Re: v14.70 Program error when opening files

I just noticed it (15.02) works on Windows 7 and I can open files however I want. Thanks a lot, Rickard! https://static.vecteezy.com/system/resources/previews/000/095/852/non_2x/thumb-tack-vectors.jpg Nb. there are only 24 tacks in the picture above; I could paste it 42 times here, but I am sure it ...

Re: .cpp keywords - color question

But you have multiple keyword lists! "Keywords", "Data types", "#Preprocessor directives" etc. are all keywords, as this word is employed in RJ TE syntax scheme -- go to "Keywords" tab in the Syntax editor and enjoy Keyword groups -- and then enjoy them even more upon noticing that they may be defin...

Re: creating new syntax file

Assuming that highlighter drop-down in the main toolbar proudly shows "RC", indicating that your freshly created syntax file is actually being used, I don't have idea right now what could have gone wrong... Maybe post your syx file here, and a sample .rs file to check it on?

Re: creating new syntax file

The pursuit of knowledge, brother, is the askin’ of many questions. Raymond Chandler, Farewell, My Lovely Try Tools > Syntax editor > New; it's a dedicated syntax editor, you can define the needed syntax with it. You can also open appropriate file and save it with a new name in ..:\Users\%username%...

Re: Searching in open files doesn't allow for file type

:? I meant Search > Find > Find in Files > Search > "Open files" range, and Search > Find > Find in Files > Folder options > "File types". Sorry for the confusion made, no need to escalate up to Microsoft (I hope).

FIXED: Searching in open files doesn't allow for file type

If I search for e.g. table in Project files and specify file type, e.g. *.scss, only files with this extension are searched. If I search in Open files, file type is disregarded. I guess in this case "File types" dropdown should be disabled or, preferably, file type should be taken into account durin...

let me just note, though, that I'm looking for an editor where keystroke macros actually work
You're 100% right, working macros are so much better! However, as I mentioned, I can't help you with the bug, but I can try to suggest a workaround until the bug is fixed

Re: crash with macros, V15.01

Why don't you use CommentAction (with custom shortcut key)? It is built-in "action" and it inserts // at the beginning of the line. There is also an icon in the Editor Toolbar, which does the same. You can select multiple line and comment them out in one go. Simple script (can be assigned a shortcut...

Re: crash with macros, V15.01

Brushing aside the bug (I can't help you with that), what exactly did you try to achieve with this macro? Just insert three chars and move the caret to the next line (can't really see the reason for such a macro, but whatever)? Perhaps a little script could do the same?

??? Externally altered file isn't reloaded

I have a problem with a file that was altered outside of RJ TE: 1) if the file is opened in the current tab, no info that it has been altered is presented; it is not reloaded 2) if the file is not opened in the current tab, regular warning is presented; however if I choose "Always", again file is no...
