V16.65 - markdown number-display anomalies

I've been looking at markdown files again recently, and I'm seeing a variety of anomalies in how numbers are highlighted...
It's not the end of the world, but it *is* odd...
So *is* this a bug?? Or expected behavior?? I note that the number that don't get the expected color, all are preceded by non-numeric, non-space characters, but seems to me that in each of these cases, they *are* characters that could be expected to precede numbers...
If this *is* expected behavior, go ahead and mark as "not an issue", but I wanted to run it by you anyway...

### Progress reporting (this is file test.md)
Per our earlier agreement: print the name of the first entry decoded, then
every 1000th one after that. This is purely a sanity check that decoding is
keeping up across ~580k total records ( 525,557 files + 56,216 folders, per
your NDIR32 count), not a real progress bar.
