SOLVED? SPACE BETWEEN LINES

Post by tim_crouse »

I am running:
x64, Portable, v16.16

The setting to add spacing between the text lines appears to have no effect. At least not in the range of the result one would see when changing the setting in MS Word. Perhaps a small addition of space but that could simply be wishful thinking on my part.

Thanks in Advance

Does it work better in this version https://www.rj-texted.se/downloads/RJ_TextEd.zip?

(It's the same v16.70 alpha version posted in another thread)

I want to test this using the same settings I am using in my production copy. What files or directories would I copy over?

This zip is a portable ver?

The exe will not run on my machine, plus there appear to be many files missing from the zip as there is only a single exe file along with a jbdg extension file.

What kind of virus are you sending me Richard? :-D

Copy the files to the program folder (RJ TextEd\Win64) and replace the old ones (backup or rename the old ones first) and run.

I run x64 portable, are the files correct to replace the portable version?

Yes :) The exe works with both portable and installed versions. It detects the correct paths to use automatically.

No space increase or decrease was seen on my end using the updated files.

I did notice that when the alternative font was active changing the line spacing forced a revert to the primary font, but still no line spacing change.

I tried with various fonts assigned as primary and alternate as I saw how New Courrier seemed to be affected differently than other fonts on an unrelated issue, so figured I would double-check, no diff in this case though.

Changing the line spacing, err attempting too forces a syntax change back to Text File. Not a Primary Font revert as previously stated.

I think most of your issues are related to some kind of syntax highlighter issue. It's not normal for the syntax to change back to Text File.

If you figure out why the syntax is changing (when changing options) you may solve a lot of your issues.

I think this is related to the .txt extension being assigned to a highlighter.

I'm marking this issue as solved.
