???: Paste Special not pasteing as special at all

I may have found a bug with paste special. I should have marked this as a bug in the bug section, apologies. I was unsure whether it was a bug or a feature.

I am doing some markdown editing and the indent formatting is important.

When I copy a selection with code indented by RJTe then I attempt to do an ordinary paste into a new README.MD document, then the text is pasted as I expect but not the tabbed indent characters. In this case I assume that I should use a Paste Special to retain that formatting.

A Paste Special should paste those characters but it currently does not.

However, Paste and Select does paste those characters correctly. So, I think there is a small bug in the Paste Special, it should be doing the same as the Paste and Select but without the select.

Tried this but couldn't reproduce it. I used "Smart Paste" found in Edit menu, context menu and with Shift+Ctrl+V.
