Hi
Sorry to load you up with a third open bug Rickard but this one is, well, maybe not so much a bug as a forever-annoyance I just have ignored but want to raise now as it's just shitty, but may be a small one to fix.
Call them braces (those are for holding up your pants though) or parentheses (parents who write multiple thesis for fun?) or brackets (they hold up shelves, don't they?) ... whatever you like (yes, I know there's probably technically correct definitions but bugger that for now, not as fun
) ... but why must typing close brackets (my personal preferred word, along with "curly brackets", "square brackets", haha) within a set of brackets always MUNCH the existing close bracket ?
Just seems so silly and perhaps an unfortunate case, of which there seems to be so many that text editors have not evolved beyond, wherein attempting to be helpful with auto completions is, well, only ever half-arsed.
Again, this is not a massive issue and not a criticism specifically of RJTE. Many editors either do this sort of half-arsed (half helpful, half unhelpful) auto-correction. I may be the only hack in the world who types this way but it's bloody annoying as buggery, as it were.
Amongst the 'colour' of my writing, does this bug description make sense or would it be more helpful to have a video demo?
