RJ TextEd

I cannot use any of the offline validation tools that require tidy.exe.

As stated in the title, the VCRUNTIME140.dll is supposed to be missing.

The VCRUN distributable is installed and I am using RJ Text Ed 15.40 "portable installation".

Does someone have an idea what I can do to check or how to remedy that fault/error/bug?

I would start with reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable libraries.

Just to be clear, this isn't RJ TE's error, it's your computer missing a file in specific folder, or this file isn't properly registered -- because there may be more files with the same name on your disk; I have 17 on mine. Reinstalling the package from MS and then rebooting your PC may help.
