Hi Rickard, I have set the selection highlight to be white text on blue background, when I apply it the text colour doesn't change, I had to change highlighter for it to apply, but when I change the highlighter back the visible markers appear.

I don't know how to reproduce. Are you able to provide steps to replicate the issue?

Hello again, I attached a short video, there are 4 steps.

1. I just demonstrate the syntax highlighting for all languages is white text on blue background.
2. Select all, notice the text colour appears black (not white).
3. Choose a different highlighter, the text now appears white.
4. Choose the original (Text File) highlighter, now the tab markers appear.

This may just be an issue with the default (Text File) highlighter, if I start by selecting a different highlighter e.g. HTML, then things are okay (correct colours, no tab marks), until I select the Text File highlighter, then the tab marks appear again.

There seem to be some issues with plain text. I'll fix it.
