using v12.20 b1 64bit

- Open a file in TextEd
- Switch to hex view
- Close TextEd
- Open that same file in TextEd

-> the file is displayed in non-hex view but its right margin is the one of hex view mode

- Switching to hex view mode and back to normal mode restores the margin

Edit: This in fact breaks a lot from that point on, e.g. when copy/pasting

This was difficult to reproduce and I was only able to very randomly. Anyway, I think it's been fixed now.

I've double checked using your settings file and I can't reproduce it anymore... so it's probably fixed now.
