Actual state: One instance of RJTED ist opened with '/MULTI'-option.

If i open a second instance with '/COMPARE'-option, all seems ok. I close it.

Open a second instance of RJTED without any option and let it open.

Start another with '/COMPARE'-option, no new windows (in the second instance) appears !

The command option /MULTI tells that instance to ignore other instances of the program and run.

If you run an instance without the /MULTI option that instance will not allow other instances unless you add the /MULTI option to the command line.

But "/MULTI /COMPARE" unfortunately doesn't work...

and I've expected, that RJTED open the two documents in the last opened (without /MULTI) instance in compare-mode ?!

Should work in next release. Just make sure /MULTI is entered first.

But why does the 'third instance' (from my post #1 above) not start / not show any window ?

"/MULTI /COMPARE..." works in beta3.

Without '/MULTI' the problem with '/COMPARE' still exists, if another NOT-MULTI instance is running!
(Simple: No '/COMPARE' from commandline is working, if another NON-MULTI-instance is running)
