**Title:** V16.68 – Save toolbar button state is inconsistent with actual file save status
**Environment**
- RJ TextEd 16.68; issue also occurred in 16.64
- Windows 7 SP1 64-bit
- Local file, approximately 10 KB
**Problem description**
After using RJ TextEd for several minutes, the Save toolbar button behaves inconsistently. The issue temporarily disappears after restarting the application.
**Reproduction steps**
1. Open and edit a local file.
2. After several minutes of use, the Save toolbar button no longer updates correctly.
3. Click any menu (File, Edit, or View). The Save toolbar button becomes enabled.
4. Click the Save toolbar button once. The file is not saved.
5. Click the Save toolbar button again. The file is saved successfully, and the button becomes disabled.
6. Press Ctrl+S to save the file. The file is saved successfully, but the Save toolbar button may remain or become enabled.
7. Click the Save toolbar button in this state. The file is not actually saved.
8. Using File → Save saves the file successfully with a single command.
**Additional observation**
When the issue occurs, modifying the same file in another editor also causes the "Document changed externally" warning to appear late.
Upgrading from version 16.64 to 16.68 did not resolve the issue. Pressing Alt, then Esc, does not help.
**Expected behavior**
- The toolbar Save button should execute the same save operation as Ctrl+S and File → Save.
- After a successful save, the button should reflect the actual document state and become disabled when no unsaved changes remain.
**Question**
Could this be caused by a toolbar event-handling problem, a stale document-modified flag, or a UI state synchronization issue? Please advise how to diagnose this on Windows 7 SP1 64-bit.

Actually i do not see this in window 11 64bit ... it is may a specific Win 7 problem.
