Search Highlight

Post by crtrubshaw »

After I run a search and close the search box, all the found occurrences remain highlighted - I don't think it used to do this. Is there a setting to turn off this behaviour, or some key to press to remove the highlighting (escape)?

Thank you.

RMC > Highlight > Unhighlight all

I think they *should* remain highlighted if you set "Highlight all item found".

@pjj - thanks for the tip on "Unhiglight All".

I'm using the "highlight all items found" option.

If I do a "Find Next", it selects the first occurrence and highlights all occurrences in yellow, this is the behaviour I'm used to (including clearing the highlight).

If I do "Find All", it highlights eveything in green but does not select any occurrence, I've found the only way to clear the highlight is to then "Find Next", and the selection changes as previously described.

Maybe the issue is that the first occurrence is not being selected, is that intended? If I do find/replace, it's a similar thing, I hit replace and the first occurrence gets selected, but not replaced, I have to hit replace again to actually replace it.
