What goes wrong with the PHP highlighter?

What goes wrong with the PHP highlighter?

I think this can not be intended. Why can't I recognize my comments anymore? Or am I doing something wrong?

This happens from time to time for me as well: highlighter "chokes" for a moment. Just RMC on document tab and click on "Reload current document", this should do the trick.
