Last cursor-position and selection is not restored, if I reopen the same file.
With an older version (test with a V13.60 portable) I didn't even have to save a file. The cursor-position and seletion is restored when I reopen it.
Now with V14.60b3: Nothing. To test I've delete the 'FileInfo.xml', open a file, set the selection, close it. After that, the 'FileInfo.xml' contains only a single close-tag.
Bug or new feature?

Re: V14.60b3: Last cursor-position and selection
I can't reproduce it with the option to "Save text cursor position" turned on.
Does it happen when you open a file from the main program, or do you start and load your files from the command line, or using the explorer context menu, or ...

Re: V14.60b3: Last cursor-position and selection
Now I've done a seceond test. All ok...
Without reboot or logoff.
But after I opened a file in monitor-mode (/MULTI /MONITOR) the problem is back. I can close all RJTED-instances, but the problem with the fileinfo's still exists.... File-save also not help to remember the fileinfo's now...
All test via context-menu from explorer or monitor-mode via command line.
Is there any size restrictions for the FileInfo.xml ? My contains 50 file-entry's. I find only 'Max. number of saved positions' with a value with 20. Increasing this value, also didn't work.

Re: V14.60b3: Last cursor-position and selection
All back...
Some filetypes are not saved. If I rename a file from .ini to .log, .csv or to .txt the fileinfo's are not saved in the last beta.
Can you reproduce this ?

How do you rename the file?
Re: V14.60b3: Last cursor-position and selection
??? With explorer and/or Total-Commander (while RJTED is closed).
Re: V14.60b3: Last cursor-position and selection
How is RJ TE supposed to know these are the same files, but with different names?
Nevermind. I can confirm that selection and caret position is not remembered for files with "Text file" highlighters; it is remembered for other files, though.
