Even for new documents with Unix newline format, replacing anything changes document's newlines to Windows. (I don't use any search or output options. My default newline format is Unix.)
BTW, "Newline format" is used in editor's menu, while "File Type" in the Options box, which means that searching for "newline" keyword in the Options box yields no results. I think that the terminology should be unified; I'd opt for "newline format".

Should work properly in the final version. Thanks!
