Where is V15.22 ??

I've tried looking at several download sites, but I keep seeing 15.20 or 15.21... At this point, I think 15.22 is my go-to version for the rest of my life!!! I wish this version of RJTE had been available about 10 years ago, when I first started realizing that MultiEdit was abandoned, and would neve...

Re: DONE: REQUEST: skip unneeded dialogs when opening specified file

Thank you *very* much for these changes!! I'm looking forward to this... As far as concerns about someone having mis-spelled a name, that's really a red herring... it almost never actually happens, and if it does, I can cope with it on my own. The situation where I've opened a new file, intentionall...

DONE: REQUEST: skip unneeded dialogs when opening specified file

When I open a new file from the command line, for example: texted filename.cpp please skip the two meaningless dialogs: dialog 1: "file does not exist, do you want to create new file?" This is absolutely superfluous!! Obviously I want to create the file that I just told you to create!! There is also...

Re: How to auto-open new files

Thank you, I think I get it now: Yes, I guess the empty file should be created when calling a file on the command line. Well, it certainly makes sense to me!! It also is a *very* common situation for me to fine myself in... And beyond that, once the file has been created and opened, it makes *no* s...

How to auto-open new files

RJTE (15.20) is a bit quirky on how it handles new files... If I open a file that does not exists, it first asks me if I want to create the file?? Then, after I deal with the file and save, it pops up a new dialog saying "do you want to save this file under the name that you already gave it??" Both ...

Re: V15.20: possible bug in main menu

Program restart fixes this. huh... yeah, you're right... after restart, all is fine... even after changing themes.... Dang, I could *swear* I tested that before posting... maybe it's because facebook was still down at that time... <snicker> ... Okay, nevermind... BTW, my screen is 30" 2560x1600 ......

FIXED: V15.20: possible bug in main menu

I just updated to 15.20, and now I have problems with main menu... It all started when I tried to test out the new themes in the program. Every time I selected another theme, it would shift the button bar up slightly, overlapping the menus. By the time I had checked out all the themes and restored b...

Re: request change in file-loading process

Added a new command-line switch: /NOREOPEN. Which allows you to open the editor (with or without files as parameters) without reopen the last open files. The next time you open the editor, the previously last open files are opened again. Done in version 15.10 (final). Wow!! Thank you so much!! I am...

Re: request change in file-loading process

Alternately, if that's really too much trouble, could you add a command-line switch (maybe /CLR or something) that clears any existing file history before loading files specified on command line?? Then I can just create a separate macro for running the editor, if I want to clear file history... this...

Re: request change in file-loading process

@Richard Johansson:
Is there any chance that you would consider adding this requested feature to the editor??
This really *is* a rather standard feature for programming editors, allowing the user to reset the existing file list when opening a new editor, without having to go through contortions...

Re: issue with column mode

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are so right!! I don't know why this confused me... when I hit Alt-C, I get "column" displayed on the bottom status bar, but for some reason I simply didn't see that. And yes, *then* Shift-RightArrow works as expected... It was *because* I didn't notice the green "column" notice...

Re: request change in file-loading process

Do you use projects? I can't imagine working with multiple files without them. You close a project and editor asks if you want its documents closed. When you reopen a project, its files (only these that were open when you closed the project) are opened. Pretty nifty. And then there are also session...

Re: option: reload current document

Well, I *thought* I had found it, but not quite... I enabled: Log File Monitoring: Monitor current file It underlined the 'close' box for the file in Red, and it detected *one* change in the file, but the next change was not detected. I tried this with 'Follow tail' both selected and not selected, n...
